MyResNet Quick Tips

Dear Hiram Residents,

To get the most out of your new MyResnet connection, please follow these tips:

  1. MyResnet-5G: Always connect to MyResnet-5G for the fastest WiFi connection. This should be your default setting.
  2. MyResnet-2G: If you do not see MyResnet-5G, your device may not be able to operate at 5G speeds. Select MyResnet-2G if that is the only SSID your device sees.
  3. Register your devices: All devices should be added to your additional device list by MAC address in your portal.
  4. MAC Randomization: For iOS14+ and Android 10+ devices – Turn off private address feature when connecting to MyResNet-5G or MyResNet-2G.

  1. Update Drivers: MyResnet performs best with the latest drivers from your system’s manufacturer. Please update your system to the latest drivers for optimal performance.
  2. Wired: If you need connect to a wired port for a device, students should be using the blue ports.
